MEDIEVAL SOLDIER INDEX
Knights and Archers are amongst thousands of Named medieval soldiers listed on a new on-line, searchable database, who served the English Crown in the 14th and 15th Century.

Transcribed from the original documents held at the National Archives in Kew, the fully indexed collection list details of thousands of men who signed up for various campaigns between 1369 and 1453, encompassing the later stages of the Hundred Years War and battles such as Agincourt.

Eds note: Take care in entering a surname, as spellings can sometimes change slightly over the years. For example if searching for ‘Aldred’ try different spellings such as ‘Alred’ – which brings up an Archer at Agincourt in 1415. You can even search by ‘year’. So entering 1415 will bring up all 9,701 names at the Battle of Agincourt.
