Volume I
The Gentlemen Archers attending the Society of Archers’ annual competition for the Silver Arrow on the 18th June 1766 at Darlington subscribed to the purchase of a book to hold the records of subsequent Meetings. The original parchment records of the Meetings dating from 1673 had deteriorated and were partly obliterated so it was agreed that the book should contain a transcript of the Articles of the Society, a listing of past Captains, Lieutenants and places where the Shoot was held. The first Volume then records Meetings from 1767 through 1866.
There are two accounts for year 1851 with duplicate page numbers and there is a gap in pagination 152 through 155. Pages numbered 71, 93, 108, 114, 116, 129, 132, 195, 198, 200, 201 and 202 are blank.
