The gentlemen archers met this day at the house of John Naisbet in Hurworth to shoot for the Golden Arrow were present, Captain Thomas Rain, Lieutenant Robert Jackson, Mr James Bland???, Mr Thomas Kelley, the Reverend W Kramwell. Mr James Portees, Mr William Rawlinson, Mr Jon Hutchinson, The Reverend W Nicholson, Mr Rober Hall, Mr Thomas Peirse, Mr George Rickaby, Mr John Gainford and Mr John Sadler.

Be it remembered that Mr James Portees won the arrow this day & that Mr John Gainford is the Lieutenant.
