of the 1990 meeting

The Clerk read the gracious reply from HM the Queen to our loyal message. It was noted that the Lord Lieutenant of North Yorkshire was considering an approach on our behalf to HRH Prince Andrew, the Duke of York, to become Patron of the Society. The taxman was reported to have dealt with us kindly regarding the Reserve Fund which stands at £700.67. The appointment of George Penman by the Council of Captains as Deputy Clerk to the Society was confirmed with acclaim. Gifts in support of the Reserve Fund included a Parker pen, a voucher from Mary Howis, an engraved plate from the host Club, and wine. It was agreed that these should be raffled. The gift of Volume V1 from Frank Newbould was received with great appreciation. There being no further matters the Captain closed the Meeting at 2.55pm. |
