TOURNAMENT
RESULTS 1913
| Clitheroe. September 9th 1913 | ||
The first Gold was scored by Mr C K Philips, with his first arrow at the second end, whereby he became Captain of the year; and the first Red by the Rev C Hutton Coates, with his second arrow at the second end who thereby became Lieutenant of the year. Shooting went on for the usual two hours till 1.10 beginning again at 2.23 and ending at 4.23. The Clitheroe Polo Club ground is well suited for an Archery meeting, the weather remained fine the whole time, and the attendance was good. Votes of thanks were unanimously accorded to Mrs Rushton and the members of the Clitheroe Polo Club. Be it forever remembered !!! The original manuscript of ye Antient Scorton Arrow, bearing the names of the Captains and Lieutenants, is deposited on loan at the Municipal Museum Hull. |
